The turtle is a symbol of hope and renewal in face of adversity. She has 1 in 10,000 chance of making it back alive to this beach in about 25 years’. During that time she will swim the world’s currents searching for food, buffeted by storms, chased by all kinds of predators, not to mention all the human-made threats such as fish nets, plastic pollution, ocean toxification and marine traffic. Without any parent to guide her, only pure instinct drives her forward. Hopefully, one day, that instinct will guide her back to this very same beach where she will give birth and continue a cycle of survival stretches back to the era of the dinosaurs..
